FAQ

  • No, referrals are not required to see a physiotherapist. A physiotherapist is a regulated health care provider who is licensed to independently practice with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. Some third-party insurance providers do require a physician’s referral in order for patients to be reimbursed for the physiotherapy assessment & treatments. If you are planning to submit a claim for reimbursement for the service, it is recommended that you inquire with your insurance provider prior to your first visit.

  • The cost of your initial assessment is $135.

Follow-up visits include re-assessment & treatment based on your individualized rehabilitation plan tailored to meet your specific goals & needs. Treatment plans will include education, manual therapy, dry needling, exercise prescription, modalities, and ongoing monitoring of symptoms & progress. The cost of follow-up visits is based on treatment time with the individual practitioner and will be billed as below:

$180 for 60-minute follow up treatment

$100 for 30-minute follow up treatment

$80 for 20-minute follow up treatment

Please note that if you have not seen your physiotherapist in the past three months you may require a reassessment, which is billed as a new assessment.

Your physiotherapist will work to guide you through a treatment plan that is best suited for your individual needs to ensure you are optimizing the complete rehabilitation process.

All above treatments with the therapist are followed by active exercise programming. Patients should expect their total time at the Toronto Rock Sports Medicine & Wellness Clinic to vary based on their specific treatment plan.
