Physiotherapist
Maddie is thrilled to join our team after returning to Ontario from Alberta, where she completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta. During her studies, Maddie not only excelled in her coursework but also served as a Principal Instructor for an undergraduate Kinesiology course and assisted with several others, showcasing her commitment to both education and patient care. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo and is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and Orthopedic Divsion.
As a dedicated physiotherapist, Maddie has gained invaluable experience working in two of Edmonton’s Emergency Departments, providing expert care for a wide range of conditions—from orthopedic traumas to strokes and complex geriatric cases. She has also worked at a non-profit clinic, where she provided specialized physiotherapy treatment for patients with complex pain, neurological, vestibular, and chronic conditions. Maddie’s strong background in strength and conditioning allows her to develop personalized rehabilitation programs and educational strategies to help patients achieve meaningful, long-term recovery goals.
Maddie’s expertise extends beyond clinical care; she has worked with varsity, professional, and tactical athletes, offering sideline support for sports like volleyball, tennis, and football. Notably, she joined the Team Ontario Women’s U18 Tackle Football team at the Women’s National Championship in both 2022 and 2023, providing essential care on the field. Additionally, Maddie is currently the team Physiotherapist for the Oakville Lady Hawks U19/JEWL team.
A former competitive athlete herself, Maddie has played soccer, line-tackle football, and rugby. She remains passionate about staying active, enjoying outdoor activities like camping, hiking, portaging, waterskiing, and kickboxing—often with her dog by her side. Always eager to explore new sports and activities, Maddie is deeply committed to helping her patients return to the activities they love most, guiding them through every step of their rehabilitation journey.
