Orthopedic Surgeon

A well respected surgeon in the greater Toronto area, Dr. Venkateswaran’s clinical interests include the arthroscopic treatment of sports injuries of the shoulder, elbow, and knee.

Dr. Venkateswaran completed his B.PHE and B.Sc degrees at Queen’s University followed by Medical School and his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency training at McMaster University. Dr. Venkateswaran continued his education by completing a fellowship in Sports Medicine Orthopaedic Surgery at the American Sports Medicine Institute (ASMI) in Birmingham, Alabama, USA under the guidance of Dr. James R. Andrews. While in Alabama, he helped care for many high school, collegiate, and professional athletes. Specifically, he assisted with the care of Auburn University (NCAA), Tuskegee University (NCAA), the Birmingham Barons (Minor League Baseball), and the Washington Commanders (NFL).

Dr. Venkateswaran has previously worked with the Hamilton Tiger Cats Football Team (CFL) and is currently working with the Toronto Rock Lacrosse Team (NLL). He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at McMaster University.
